School of Computer and Data Engineering (SCDE) offers a hands-on study programs, underpinned by cutting-edge research and innovative teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. SCDE has 4 programs for undergraduate: Data science and big data technology, Computer science and technology, Software engineering, Information and computing (Applied Mathematics). We understand the requirements of industry and are continually advancing our programs. Our programs are designed in consultation with industry through our Industry Advisory Board to ensure our graduates have the skills and knowledge needed for the fast-paced, exciting world of technology.

    Our students are also supported in their studies with an extensive range of state-of-the-art facilities including dedicated specialist laboratories, studios and the latest in software and equipment. All the students are encouraged to participate actively in the international competitions from the second year in the school. Hitherto, our students have won more than 600 provincial and above awards in various competitions such as ACM Programming Contest, National Software Design and Development Contest, and International Mathematical Modeling Contest. More importantly, the students from our school won the 27th place in the 37th ACM Global Finals. A large number of our students have been employed by well-known organizations such as China Telecom, China Mobile, Kingsoft, Baidu, Shanda, JD.COM, Zhejiang University, and Alibaba.
