Professor Chaoyi PANG, Dean of SCDE
Dr Pang received his PhD degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Melbourne in 1999. After worked for CSIRO as a research Scientist for 12 years, he joined NingboTech University(NIT)as a distinguished professor in 2014. Being a senior member of ACM and adjunct professors at Griffith University and RMIT University of Australia, he has published more than 120 research papers, including Algorithmica, TODS, VLDBJ, etc. Dr Pang has been invited to present his research to many conferences, to be co-Chairs and PCs for more than 15 and 80 international reputable conferences respectively. He reviewed journal articles for TODS; IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering; JWWW; Knowledge-Based Systems; IEEE Journal of Computer; Journal of Medical Systems; ICDE conference; ICDT conference, etc. He is an associated editor of International Journal of Health Information Systems. His research interests are data management and mining, data compression algorithms, and eHealth.
Prior to his role at CSIRO, Dr Pang worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years, both in academic research oriented institutions (The University of Melbourne, etc.) and in industries and consultancy within Australia (EWA Australia, E-Centric, etc.).

On-line algorithm; Stream and imaging data compression/processing; Data warehousing and database theory; Image processing; Graph theory; eHealth research.

Professor Xin YU, Deputy Dean of SCDE
Dr YU received his PhD degree in Mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2004. Currently he is a Professor in NingboTech University. He has published more than 40 reputable research papers and has been invited to be PCs for a number of international conferences. Dr Yu has reviewed many journal articles including Automatica, Science China, etc.
Research Interests:
Optimization and control theory of dynamical systems; Computing method for optimal control problem.

Professor Genlang CHEN, Deputy Dean in Research
Dr. Genlang Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University in 2012. Currently, he is a professor at NingboTech University(NIT). As the Director of Big Data Center of Ningbo Intelligent Tourism Research Institute, and Chief Expert of Group for Intelligent Big Data Science and Technology in Ningbo, Dr. Chen’s research is focused on artificial intelligence, big data, internet of things, eHealth research and parallel computing. He has published more than 20 research papers and attracted more than 100 industrial grants because of his rich experience in project management and system architecture skills. He has served as a reviewer of more than 10 scientific journals.

Professor Xinjie YU, Deputy Dean in Education
Dr. Xinjie YU received his Ph.D. degree in Operational Research and Cybernetics from Zhejiang University in 2014. Currently, he is an associate professor at NingboTech University. Dr. Yu’s research is focused on internet of things, artificial intelligence, data mining, the IT applications in planting industry, animal husbandry industry and aquaculture industry. He has published more than 20 scientific articles. Dr. Yu has received many awards for his reputable research work, including China Agricultural Machinery Paper Award, the Third-level of the Leading Talent Project of Ningbo City, Ningbo Natural Science Paper Award, the Third Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress in Zhejiang Province, and the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress in Ningbo City. He serves as a reviewer of more than 10 scientific journals, Vice President of Ningbo Institute of Intelligent Agriculture, and Chief Expert in the Group of Special Commissioners for Intelligent Agricultural Science and Technology in Ningbo City.

Professor Bailing ZHANG
Bailing Zhang received his Ph.D.in Computer Engineering from Newcastle University Australia in 1999. From 2000 to 2001, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Sydney. He was an Assistant Professor in Bond University of Australia in 2002 and lecturer in Victoria University of Australia from 2003 to 2008. From 2008 to 2019, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Software Engineering of Xian-Jiaotong Liverpool University, China. He has published more than 130 research papers and applied 15 patents. His main research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning and computer vision. Current projects include document AI, intelligent water business, intelligent manufacture, and applications of deep learning and computer vision in intelligent surveillance.

Professor Zhenyu Shu, Head of the Department of Data Engineering
Dr. Zhenyu Shu received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Graphics at Zhejiang University in 2010. He is now working as a professor at NingboTech University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, big data, computer graphics, and computer vision. He has published over 40 papers in reputable journals and conferences, including ACM Transactions on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, Computer-Aided Design, Computer Aided Geometric Design, etc. Dr. Shu has received many awards for his reputable research work, including the Third Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award, the Ningbo Natural Science Paper Award, etc. He has reviewed papers for more than 20 scientific journals, including IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Aided Geometric Design, Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds, Computers and Graphics, etc. Due to his contribution in the related research areas, Dr. Shu is selected as a Leading Innovation Talent in Zhejiang Province and one of the One Hundred Innovative Talents in Ningbo City.
